SIESTA at the EOSC France Tripartite Event 2025

On 11–12 September, SIESTA participated in the EOSC France Tripartite Event 2025, held in Paris and organised by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR). The two-day meeting gathered representatives of the three pillars that drive the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC): the research communities, the European Commission, and the EU Member States and associated countries.

The programme opened with an introduction by MESR, contributions from the European Commission and the EOSC Association, and a panel discussion on the current state of EOSC in Europe. This set the stage for a series of thematic sessions exploring the EOSC Federation, practical experiences from candidate nodes, and open discussions on challenges and opportunities for its future.

The second day focused on the skills and competences needed for EOSC, with lessons learned from ongoing initiatives and a round table on the role of data stewards. Another highlight was the session dedicated to FAIR data and digital preservation, which showcased diverse approaches to ensuring trust, reuse and long-term accessibility of research outputs. The event concluded with a forward-looking session on emerging domains in EOSC-France, including data infrastructures for healthcare.

For SIESTA, this event was an opportunity to connect with national and European stakeholders, learn from other initiatives, and align efforts towards building trusted and reproducible environments for sensitive data analysis within the EOSC
